Hey, i’m shegz.

Officially, it’s Segun Aiyegbusi, the name my parents prayed over and shouted at least 101 times when I was testing the boundaries of sanctification. If you’ve made it to this corner of the internet though, you can call me Shegz… like eggs, but Spirit-filled.

I’m Nigerian American, a pastor, Soul Care leader, and (recovering) perfectionist who believes Biblical theology should feel like a fireside chat not a theological exam. I’m married to the endlessly graceful Dupe, and together we’re raising three amazing humans with big personalities, louder opinions, and passports full of purpose.

For 15 years, I served as a young adults and associate pastor at a Church in New Jersey, before God flipped the script and moved our family to Jos, Nigeria as missionaries. These days, I serve as Executive Director of The Gathering Faith Leadership Network, where we help pastors and their families heal, breathe, and stay rooted in Christ through emotional and spiritual care.

So what is Shegnstuff?

It is Biblical truth made relevant, theology with a heartbeat, and reflections that go deep without needing a PhD or a Greek lexicon. Whether I’m unpacking a psalm, retelling a Gospel story, or exposing the emotional minefield of ministry life, I write for those who love Jesus but still have questions, battle doubt, carry scars, and crave more.

If you're looking for a place where Scripture meets soul care, where Biblical insight is served with humor, and where you can breathe a little deeper and believe a little stronger, welcome home.

Welcome to Shegnstuff. Jesus is here and He likes you. (Seriously.)
